Eric Han is the Founder and Principal Lawyer of Z&H Lawyers. With over 20 years of experience in Australian immigration law, he is widely recognised for his ability to integrate practical strategy with legal rigour, making him a leading figure in the field.
Eric graduated from Deakin University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Commerce and began his career in international education and migration services. His diligence, attention to detail, and deep sense of responsibility quickly earned the trust of clients. Over time, his growing command of immigration regulations inspired him to pursue formal legal training to better serve clients from a legal perspective.
In 2005, Eric completed a specialised program in Australian immigration law, and in 2006, he became a registered migration agent. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he returned to university and earned a Juris Doctor from La Trobe University in 2021. He was admitted as a legal practitioner in Victoria in 2022.
Eric has developed deep expertise in the evolution of Australian immigration law over the past several decades. He has played a pivotal role in policy innovation and real-world application, including the creation of Victoria’s first “457/500 to 188 Business Migration Visa” pathway, and he led the first successful application for the “Adelaide Major Enterprises DAMA Agreement” in South Australia. His ability to interpret complex regulatory structures and anticipate policy directions enables him to deliver highly strategic and compliant migration solutions.
Over the course of his career, Eric has provided legal guidance to more than 10,000 clients on immigration-related matters, covering not only immigration law but also intersecting areas such as commercial law, employment law, family law, tax planning, corporate governance, and contractual compliance. He is particularly adept at handling legal complexities across employer-sponsored, investment, skilled, and family migration streams.
His clientele includes high-net-worth individuals and senior executives from Fortune 500 companies, spanning Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Europe. He is known for his exceptionally high success rate and trusted reputation.
Eric is a recognised authority in the fields of business migration, employer-sponsored visas, skilled migration, family reunification, and MRT appeals. He is widely respected for his precision in case analysis and deep legal insight.
As client needs continue to expand, the legal division formerly under APIC Global has developed into an independent legal practice, now officially established as Z&H Lawyers.
The name “Z&H” carries symbolic meaning — the letter “H” derives from the Chinese idiom “Zheng Tong Ren He” (政通人和), emphasizing harmony under the rule of law. It reflects the firm’s respect for legal principles and its strong sense of social responsibility.
